"To provide safe, dignified, and affordable transitional housing for homeless and at-risk veterans — including veterans with pets and families — creating a stable foundation from which every veteran can rebuild their life."— Mission of Lewis and Lyon Center of Hope

Veterans return from service having given everything. Too many come home to housing instability, fractured support systems, and no safe place to land — and too many are forced to give up their pets or leave their families just to access shelter.

Lewis and Lyon Center of Hope was founded to close that gap. We provide stable, affordable housing and connect every resident to the full range of VA and community services they need to thrive — on their own terms, with their families and pets intact.

What We Offer

Transitional housing built
around the whole veteran.

We provide the housing. VA case managers and community partners provide clinical support. Together, veterans get everything they need.

🏠

Safe, Stable Housing

Clean, furnished units with full lease agreements. Veterans are tenants with complete legal rights — not patients. Your home is your home.

🐾

Pet-Friendly Units

Companion animals are welcome. Veterans should never choose between a pet and a roof. Designated pet-friendly units available for dogs, cats, and small animals.

👪

Family Units

Housing for veterans with spouses, children, and other dependents. HUD-VASH family vouchers welcome (units go through the housing authority inspection and approval process). No family gets separated.

🎖️

VA Partnership

VA case managers visit residents on-site. LLCOH coordinates access to mental health, medical services, and benefits — we connect, you receive care on your terms.

💰

Benefits Navigation

Connections to VA pension, HUD-VASH vouchers, SSVF assistance, Social Security, and Medicaid to help every veteran access their earned benefits.

🤝

Peer Support

Veteran-to-veteran peer support programming. Community built by veterans, for veterans — real connection, no clinical labels required.

🍽️

Community Kitchen

Optional communal kitchen and shared meals — a gathering place, not a mandatory service. Community happens around the table.

🚘

Transportation Referrals

Coordination with VA shuttle services and community transportation so no appointment gets missed.

📋

Full Tenant Rights

Standard Georgia lease for every resident. 30-day notice protection, right to privacy, quiet enjoyment — always. You are a tenant, not a patient.

No One Left Behind

Pets welcome. Families welcome. Always.

Too many programs force veterans to abandon their pets or separate from their families just to access housing. LLCOH is built from the ground up to serve the whole veteran — no compromises.

🐾

Pet-Friendly Housing

Companion animals are part of the family. For many veterans, a pet is a lifeline — providing emotional support, routine, and connection during recovery. No veteran should choose between their pet and a home.

  • Dogs, cats, and small animals welcome in pet-friendly units
  • Assistance & emotional support animals in ALL units (Fair Housing Act)
  • Reasonable refundable pet deposit for standard pets
  • SSVF funding can cover pet food and basic veterinary care
  • Pet rules incorporated into lease — not arbitrary restrictions
👪

Family Housing

Veterans with spouses, children, and dependents deserve housing that keeps their family together — not programs that split them apart. LLCOH offers family units for households of all sizes.

  • 1- and 2-bedroom family units available
  • HUD-VASH family vouchers accepted
  • Dependents listed as household members on lease
  • Children welcome — family-friendly community environment

About the Organization

A name that carries weight. A mission that demands it.

Lewis and Lyon Center of Hope, LLC was founded by Jermaine Bullard Sr. to fill one of the most persistent gaps in veteran services: safe, affordable housing that doesn’t require veterans to surrender their pets, leave their families, or trade their rights for a roof.

Named in memory of Sgt. Adrian J. Lewis and Capt. David L. Lyon, LLCOH operates as a transitional housing provider in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area. Residents are tenants with full legal rights — VA case managers and community partners provide clinical support on their own terms.

LLCOH is building working relationships with the Atlanta VA Medical Center’s HUD-VASH team, SSVF grantees, local public housing agencies, community health organizations, and faith communities throughout the greater Atlanta area, so that veterans placed through those programs have a home ready for them.

Lewis and Lyon Center of Hope, LLC is a for-profit LLC, legally separate from Unsung Heroes of America, Inc. (501c3). Gifts to UHOA do not fund LLCOH operations.

Jermaine Bullard Sr.
Founder, Owner & Chief Executive Officer

Jermaine founded LLCOH out of a lifelong commitment to ensuring that veterans who served our country have a safe, dignified place to call home — and that no veteran faces housing instability alone, without their family, or without their pet.

He personally works with every veteran to identify VA, HUD-VASH, and SSVF benefits before move-in and oversees all housing operations, tenant relations, and grant partnerships.
